The PL-VF3 Pipe and Cable Locating System is SubSurface Instruments’ best-selling pipe and cable locator thanks to its advanced features that make it ideal for the locating professional, topped off with an easy-to-use design that even less-experienced individuals can easily learn. Its most popular feature is the ability to remotely control the transmitter’s output power and frequency from the handheld receiver from more than 400 meters, eliminating the need to walk back and forth between the devices.
Multi-frequency: The adaptable PL-VF3 Receiver has 8 standard locating modes including a 512 Hz sonde mode and 5 standard frequencies that can be added or deleted on demand to suit your locating needs. It has a variable 3W transmitter that uses Automatic Impedance Matching to maximize the transmission range while reducing power consumption. Two frequencies can be transmitted simultaneously.
User-friendly design: With visual indicators displayed on the high-contrast backlit LCD screen of the receiver, as well as audio signals with 4 volume options including mute, the PL-VF3 provides clear indicators for target detections. The LCD screen also displays other relevant data to guide the operator to the target location including continuous depth measurement, current measurement, signal strength, and directional arrows.
You can maximize the PL-VF3 by purchasing optional accessories (sold separately) like the industry’s first 4” or 6.5” wireless inductive clamp (a standalone transmitting inductive coupler), a 4” corded inductive clamp, and an A-frame ground fault locator.
