The SECO Original Thumb Release Mini Bipod is the younger brother of the SECO 5217-04 Thumb Release Bipod, a
first-to-market product. Both models are still available and still popular years later, and you can purchase yours
today.
Operating the SECO The Original Thumb Release Bipod 5217-05 Mini is easy, with a stainless steel thumb screw that
holds 1-1.25" (25-32mm) outside diameter poles or prisms in the clamp, or 1.5"(38mm) top loaded.
A key feature taken from the original design of the SECO 5217-04 Thumb Release Bipod is the SECO 5217-05 Bipod
Mini's independent telescopic legs. Except that instead of extending from 43" (1.1m) up to 6' (1.8m) - as does the
5217-04 - the 5217-05 Mini Thumb Release Bipod's legs extend from 25-35" (0.64-0.89m).
The SECO 5217-05-XXX is more suited for flatter terrains, although it will also stand firm on hard, slippery and
uneven surfaces. As a more compact version of SECO's The Original Thumb Release Bipod, overall weight is down to
just 3.5lbs (1.6kg), making it one of the most lightweight high-end
surveying bipods available on the market.
A SECO Bipod Leg Clip 5217-30 is also included.
