The LD-20 Water Leak Detector is an acoustic listening system designed to help utility crews and leak detection professionals identify underground water leaks at streets, slabs, hydrants, valves, meters, and fittings. With sensitivity rated at 7.5 times higher than conventional models, the LD-20 helps operators identify smaller or quieter leak sounds that may otherwise be difficult to detect. Its frequency range of 100 to 5,000 Hz and adjustable filtering options allow the user to tune the instrument for changing pipe conditions and surrounding noise levels.
The LD-20 features a graphic LCD display with backlight, a compact 600 g amplifier, and a configurable layout that supports left- or right-hand operation by adjusting the display orientation and pickup sensor connection. Recorded sound data can be synchronized with the Android mobile application for analysis and documentation. The system includes a ground mic, magnet base, 3-section rod, aviation-grade stereo headphones, padded carrying case with waist strap, and an ABS custom case for secure transport.
