The Radiodetection gC.A.T4+ Cable Avoidance Tool is designed to locate buried pipes and cables while recording detailed information about each survey. It supports Avoidance, Genny, Power, and Radio modes, allowing operators to perform broad utility scans or focus on specific signal types. Left and right signal guidance, depth estimation, StrikeAlert®, and Dynamic Overload Protection help operators identify underground utilities before excavation, even in areas with strong electrical interference.
The gC.A.T4+ adds integrated GPS/GNSS, Bluetooth® connectivity, and automatic operation logging. It records locating mode, signal strength, depth measurements, alerts, sensitivity settings, calibration status, locator angle, date, time, and survey position. SWING Warning identifies incorrect operating technique, while CALSafe®, the Service Due Indicator, and eCert® support calibration and equipment compliance. Logged data can be reviewed through C.A.T Manager for PC or transferred through the C.A.T Manager Mobile app.
