The gC.A.T4+ combines underground utility locating with detailed operation and location logging for contractors, utility companies, and fleet managers. It detects buried utilities using Avoidance, Power, Radio, and Genny modes, with simultaneous signal detection available for faster pre-dig scanning. When used with a Genny4 transmitter, the locator can trace applied signals and provide on-demand utility depth estimation.
The gC.A.T4+ automatically records locating activity every second, including signal levels, operating mode, depth readings, alerts, sensitivity settings, calibration information, and GPS/GNSS position. Bluetooth® wireless technology allows data to be transferred to the C.A.T Manager Mobile app, while PC support provides access to configuration, eCert® testing, and usage analysis. SWING Warning helps identify improper operating technique, StrikeAlert® warns of shallow utilities, and CALSafe® can help prevent use after the selected calibration interval expires. Its IP54-rated high-impact ABS casing is built for regular outdoor use.
