The SubSurface PL-TT Pipe and Cable Locator System combines precision, durability, and ease of use in one rugged system.
The PL-TT Receiver supports 4 standard frequencies—815Hz, 8kHz, 33kHz, and 82kHz—and includes a 512Hz sonde mode and a ferrous metal detection mode for locating iron-containing metals. With push-button digital depth and a built-in LCD screen, users can view real-time signal strength, depth, and detection mode with ease. It offers four locating modes and operates on 8 C-cell batteries for up to 60 hours of use.
The 3-watt transmitter applies signals through induction, coupler, or direct connection, with automatic impedance matching (5–25,000 ohms) to extend range and optimize battery life. It runs on 6 AA batteries with up to 15 hours of operation. Together, the system delivers dependable performance even in interference-heavy or challenging environments.
The PL-TT system also functions as a magnetic locator, making it a versatile tool for detecting both utilities and ferrous objects. With its carbon fiber housing and weather-sealed design, it’s built to withstand tough job site conditions while remaining simple to operate.
