Because this level is very accurate, it is perfect for taking horizontal plane, angle, height, or distance measurements. This optical instrument is ideal for many industries, a few examples are: landscaping, fence building, setting foundations, etc. The machine contains 1/16 in accuracy and features a built-in compensator as well as a high performance telescope. The telescope is designed to reduce eye strain by providing a bright and sharp view. The focus distance of the B40 25 is 7.9 in which makes it perfect for confined spaces. An optional diagonal eyepiece allows for work in extremely confined spaces, where there is virtually no space behind the instrument. The machine's automatic compensator has a range of ±15 arc-minutes and 0.5 arc-seconds accuracy. The endless horizontal drive knobs are positioned so that aiming is fast and easy. The readout window in located below the eyepiece and horizontal angle readings are provided in both degrees and gons. The level is designed to fit flat and dome headed tripods.
