The SubSurface PL-VF3R Pipe and Cable Locator System combines a variable frequency receiver with a 3-watt transmitter for locating pipes and cables across a range of jobsite conditions. Its receiver provides continuous depth measurement, current indication, signal strength, line orientation, and left/right guidance on a high-contrast backlit LCD, helping operators follow and identify the target line with greater confidence.

Built with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, the PL-VF3R reduces the need for disposable battery replacement while supporting extended field operation. The transmitter supports two-frequency transmission, automatic load matching from 5 to 25,000 ohms, and remote power and frequency adjustment from the receiver at distances greater than 400 meters. With customizable locating modes and frequencies, IP65-rated receiver and transmitter housings, and a soft padded carrying case, the PL-VF3R provides a practical locating system for professional utility work and general underground line tracing.
