The RD510 provides acoustic pipe locating and leak detection for plastic, PVC, and other non-conductive water lines that cannot be traced with a conventional electromagnetic locator. The detector analyzes sound from the buried pipe through a sensitive ground microphone, helping operators establish the pipe route and identify concentrated leak noise from above ground.
The color touchscreen displays the acoustic response and allows the operator to adjust gain, volume, and filtering for changing ground and noise conditions. Locating and Spectrum Analysis modes support both route tracing and detailed leak investigation, while the telescopic sensor pole and interchangeable ground-contact accessories improve performance across pavement, soil, and other surfaces.
