The C.A.T4+ is a professional cable avoidance locator for detecting underground power cables, conductive pipes, and utilities carrying radio or transmitter-applied signals. It supports four locating methods: Avoidance, Power, Radio, and Genny. Avoidance Mode searches for all three signal types at once for faster site scanning, while the individual modes help operators trace and confirm specific utilities before digging.
The C.A.T4+ adds depth estimation for signals applied by a compatible Genny4 transmitter. The high-contrast auto-backlit display, sensitivity control, bar graph, and Real Sound audio response help the operator pinpoint the buried conductor. StrikeAlert® warns when a shallow utility is detected, while Dynamic Overload Protection™ filters high levels of electrical interference so locating can continue near substations and high-voltage cables. The lightweight, high-impact ABS housing is rated IP54 for outdoor jobsite use.
