The PL-VF10 Pipe and Cable Locating System from SubSurface Instruments features a powerful 10-watt transmitter with automatic impedance matching —perfect for locating pipes and cables up to 25 feet deep.
Operators can remotely adjust the transmitter’s output power and frequency from the handheld receiver—up to 400 meters away—reducing downtime and walking back and forth. The system supports dual-frequency transmission and includes 8 standard locating modes and 8 customizable frequencies to suit different site conditions.
Visual guidance is delivered through a high-contrast, backlit LCD screen, which displays depth, current, signal strength, and directional arrows in real time. Audio signals with four volume levels—including mute—offer added flexibility for noisy environments.
The PL-VF10 system is available in two power configurations:
- With alkaline batteries: up to 82 hours of intermittent operation
- With rechargeable Li-Ion batteries: up to 40 hours of continuous use
