The Bosch 2.3 HP Electronic Modular Router System gives woodworkers, cabinetmakers, remodelers, and finish carpenters a powerful fixed-base and plunge-base routing setup for edge forming, template work, dovetail cuts, plunge cuts, guided routing, and router-table applications. Its 15 amp motor delivers 2.3 HP with a variable-speed range of 10,000 to 25,000 RPM, allowing users to match speed to the material, bit size, and application.
The system includes both fixed and plunge bases, with a trigger-control power switch located in the handle for better control during operation. Constant Response circuitry helps maintain speed under load, while soft-start technology reduces startup torque. The plunge base includes Afterlock microfine depth adjustment at any plunge setting, and the fixed base offers a 1-5/8" continuous microfine depth range with above-table depth adjustment when mounted in a router table. Precision-centering design helps keep the bit aligned with the subbase or optional template guides, while the two-stage quick clamp system supports faster tool-free base changes.
