X20 total solution provides farming operators with technological tools

The
new X20 console has a super-bright, touch screen that is 70 percent
larger than previous models for ease of viewing and use. Utilizing
Windows XP Professional Operating System, the X20 provides the
flexibility to add other applications such as wireless networking for
connectivity to management systems being used by progressive farms,
advanced OEMs and agribusiness customers worldwide.
A big
benefit of the X20 is you can start with a simple screen-based manual
guidance system and be able to quickly and easily add applications
without cluttering up the equipment cab . . . a real bonus for any
farmer.
In field tests and farm application studies, the
guidance auto-steer plus variable rate application and mapping function
has been documented to save 20 to 30 percent on fertilizer and
chemicals, as well as more than 10 percent in fuel costs, due to fewer
passes.
